Put down that Wii remote and get outside! There is no better way for your child to get some exercise than the Memorial Forest KILLER WHALES Swim Team!
All Swimmers ages 4 through 18 years are encouraged to participate in our swim program led by Coach Stobie Whitmore. The child’s parents or legal guardian MUST be a member of MFC and have paid your annual dues.
Unlike other swim clubs in our league, we are a private club and our swim team is dependent upon our members’ children. There is nothing better for kids than swimming. The time commitment is short and they will have a great time being on a team with their friends.
This year, we are implementing some new practice times during May to really help out our younger swimmers. Please take note of the practice format in May.

REGISTRATION
Open House Registration is scheduled for Sunday, April 29
► Day of Registration:

6U swimmers who did not swim in meets last year will be evaluated from 2:00-3:00 p.m. to determine their swim level and placement when regular practice begins.

Your child MUST be comfortable in the water in order to join the team. In order for them to be eligible to swim in the meets, they must be able to swim the length of the pool in under 60 seconds, without hanging on the lane rope.

Children may still be able to join the team and not be ready to swim in meets but that will be up to the discretion of the swim coaches at Sunday's evaluations. Once they are evaluated, you may register them. If it is determined that they will swim in the meets, you can also purchase the team swimsuit at that time.
- Registration fees are $100 for the first swimmer and $80 for each additional swimmer in a family. Registration fees pay for swim team coaches, equipment, league fees, ribbons, trophies, and a T-shirt for each swimmer.

►Volunteers:
- All meets are run entirely by volunteers. The parent(s) of each swimmer must volunteer twice during the season. Available positions include finish judges, timers, snack bar, photos, awards, team party, ready bench, false start rope, and age group parents.
- The Volunteer coordinator will email an online sign-up link after registration is completed.
► Swim Suits:
*** All registration fees, swim suits and other swim accessories must be paid for by check. ***
We will wear the same suits as in 2011. However, if you need a new suit or other swim accessories (goggles, cap, etc.) a representative of Texas Swim Shop will be present on Registration Day to assist you.
